Today, we're going to dive into the Icelantic Natural 101 - it's been my daily drive for backcountry skiing for a few years now.
Pros:
Versatility: One of the standout features of the Icelantic Natural 101s is their versatility. Whether you're carving up groomers, slashing through powder, or tackling some gnarly backcountry terrain, these skis handle it all. They excel in tight turns and high risk terrain but can hold their own cruising the resort.
Agility: Thanks to their nimble design, these skis offer exceptional agility. They respond quickly to your movements, allowing for precise control and maneuverability on any type of terrain. Whether you're weaving through trees or navigating tricky couloirs, you'll feel confident and in control with the Natural 101s underfoot.
Durability: Built to withstand the rigors of aggressive skiing, the Icelantic Natural 101s are crafted with high-quality materials that ensure long-lasting performance. From their sturdy construction to their rugged bases, these skis are built to go the distance, season after season.
Cons:
Price: While the Icelantic Natural 101s offer top-notch performance, they do come with a premium price tag. I do feel the price to longevity ratio is pretty stellar but they aren't cheap.
Carving: There is one thing the Natural doesn't love: Really big open turns (it loves tight turns though!) I notice while skiing bigger lines when I open it up, they want to take smaller turns. Not a con for everyone but it was to me in my skiing style.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Icelantic Natural 101 skis are a game-changer for serious skiers who crave versatility, agility, and durability in the backcountry. While their premium price may be a deterrent for some, those who are willing to make the investment will be rewarded with unmatched performance and reliability on the mountain. So if you're ready to take your skiing to the next level, do yourself a favor and check out the Icelantic Natural 101s—they're sure to elevate your experience on the slopes.
